Inquiries are the key to the PYP curriculum. We take the six major subject areas of PYP as our teaching content. Including language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, physical, social and personal education. According to the PYP concept, it is not enough to learn the knowledge of each subject in isolation. The real education should establish the connection between various subject fields and carry out the teaching of subject integration.
In order to ensure that children's learning is significant, relevant, challenging and engaging. PYP integrates teaching in six subject areas to carry out six themes of global significance. Who we are, Where we are in place and time, How we express ourselves, How the world works, How we organize Ourselves, Sharing the planet. Six interdisciplinary themes provide students with a framework to explore the unknown world.
Concept based learning not only enables children to acquire important knowledge and skills, but also can develop their understanding of important concepts, show positive attitude and take responsible actions. The picture on the left shows the framework of PYP course.
